I would like to find one on here! not to have to pay $ for one! the one I have is 9g and I know if one was about 15 or so it would be a heavier one! sorry I asked but I didn't want to bid on another one that I wouldn't like! the one I won on here looked like it would be heavy but it's not! thanks anyway
Why sorry u asked? Did you take what I said the wrong way? I'm thinking so. All I did was make a friendly suggestion... Was that the wrong thing to do? I hope not. I do it often. And, actually, you just confirmed why I thought you might want to go to a jeweler to get one.
sorry ! I did take it the wrong way! my bad! I just didn't want you to think I was wanting to now the weight to sell! I just want a heavier bracelet! thanks and again sorry!
Awwww! No, It's really none of my business if you even just wanted it to sell. That's your perogative. I have wasted a lot of credits looking for particular things tho, and I hate to see others make the same mistake. I've ended up with a bunch of stuff I dont wear, and probably never will. I've even won "Lots" of jewelry just to get one piece. Now I have a ton of stuff I don't know what to do with. So, I'm trying to re-list most of it on here. I've found I dont like to list stuff unless I know something about it. So, I've been trying to look stuff up. That's how I found this. I had this in with all of my Gold Plated stuff, cause I thought it said GP instead of SP. I still couldn't find much info on the marking, so I just went ahead and listed it on here. I wasnt sure I should even say it was gold instead of gold tone. But, my friend said she thought it was gold. I think someone would have said something before now if they thought it wasn't, tho. Sorry... Went off on a tangent. Your question got me thinking about my piles of stuff, tho. Lol! =)
Sounds like it would be more beneficial for you to go to a jeweler. That way you wouldn't be taking such a chance on getting what you are looking for. It's hard to get things with certain specificities on here. GL! =)
Really? That's it? Nothing more to back up your "Statement"? You have got to be kidding. I know practically nothing about jewelry, but I know that makes little or no sense at all. Here goes... It would be quite rare actually. Most silver plated items are not marked as such. In fact, this would be the first one I have seen stamped as being 'silver plated'. Since you seem so sure it, is this info somewhere that I can read more about it? Or if you are that sure, please answer a couple of questions for me... Wouldn't it be silver in color then? And, why would anyone bother to silver plate gold? And then also keep it a gold color? Sorry about all the questions. I would like be sure before stating something as a fact. Especially this close to the end of the auction. I wish you had added something to back up your 'statement'. Dont you think that would have been more appropriate?
While I was checking it out online, 1 other person had suggested that. But they gave no reason as to why they thought that, either. On the other hand, most said flat out the SP was a maker's mark. In fact, it's pretty consistant with how professional jewelers suggest you identify an item made of gold. They said it would have a karat stamp followed by a makers mark.
I deal with alot of 925 silver rings! & SP does not stand for plated! if something is silver plated it want have any markings! and I think everyone can clearly see this is gold in color! Lol
Thank you very much. I think she just woke up ready to ruin someones auction or something. I know Listians are way too smart to believe that statement. Ok, MOST Listians... I thought about hiding her comment, but I dont believe in that. It would look like I had something to hide. Sorry I went off on her like that. I just think she was reckless and irresponsible for doing that. I apologize if anyone didn't appreciate my response to her.
No problem. Nobody was more worried than I was, trust me. Now my husband is sticking his nose in it, too. Never questions anything til now. It might be worth something? What are you doing? Go away... Lol!
looks like gold to me and the sp is more likely the makers mark, I would go with that. There’s two options. One is that it is 14k over silver plate. Which is odd, but possible. The second is that it is 14k gold, and the makers mark is SP.
I am only saying I dont want it returned because I wont know if somebody changed what I sent out. People do that every day. Im not saying it because I think it isnt real. I do not know. I know only what I put in the description. It is a yellow gold figaro chain bracelet that is stamped "14K" and "SP". Pics are actual. Nothing nefarious...
what made you bid, and what changed ur mind? I'm just curious... I described it, and posted pics. I need to know what should have been done differently. That I do not know for sure it is solid gold? I dont know it isn't either. I found nothing that suggested it isnt. And I looked for a while. Then I listed it for auction, I stated only the facts. In hopes of avoiding this scenario, actually. I know Listians know a lot about jewelry, and have been open to suggestions. Still, nobody has said that it isnt what it appears to be. So, this might all be for nothing. Help me out here, please.
That's it? No other info? why do people do this? what makes that info any different that the chick sho said is means silver plated? not helpful at all. just makes me look bad. i purposely hesitated to say 'solid gold', cuz i had no evidence of that, other than the stamp saying "14k" is said to mean that... At least that is documented. im not going to send it out if someone is not sure they want it. and looks like people are going to do what they can to make sure its questioned. i think this auction needs to start over if that is a possiblity. i should have put that i am not taking it back. cuz im not. that just seemed rude. i did full disclosure. this is not right. i need to find out what i can do about this...
The winner is going to have to decide if they want this or not by what is documented in the auction details. If that is not acceptable, please contact Listia and have the auction voided. I will just put it in the details upon re-list. I put everything I knew in details with all honesty. This auction is for the bracelt pictured, and with the details stated as known. It is a yellow gold figaro chain bracelet with a stamp that says "14k" and "SP". I am not able to guarantee, nor did I ever claim it is solid gold. I'm not going to stress over an auction for months, weeks or even a lot of days. I would rather just start over. Though, I dont know what more I can add other than. When it ends, it is over. Once it leaves my hands, I don't know what is going to be done with it, so I will not take responsibility. (I will send it however someone would prefer to dodge the ineptness of the postal service, but that's it.) I had no idea the bidding would go so high, or I would have documented all of that from the beginning. Everything in the auction description is the Gods honest truth. And unless someone can dispute that it is a yellow gold figaro chain bracelet with a stamp that says "14k" and "SP". I will not accept a return. All pics are actual. You see what I see. I spent a lot of time to try and find exactly what it meant. And nothing said anything different from what I put in the auction details. What is seen in the pics is what the winner will receive should they decide to have me send it. This needs to be worked out before I spend the money to ship it. I hope nothing will change. I would think all of this was implied from the beginning. But you never know, I guess. I never have been, nor will I ever be, a dishonest person. Accept that or not. Up to you. I'm don't mind being honest, but I do mind being taken advantage of. Some people do not understand there is a difference. Sorry if I sound rude. It is not meant that way. It is called Stern-ness...
I have a dr appt this morning. If someone comments or messages me, dont assume I am just not answering. I have never done that before, never will now, nor in the future.
