Description

The listing, REAL RUBY FROM MADAGASCAR - MARQUISE CUT has ended.

Hi, Here is a Marquise Cut Ruby that is either 1 Carot or 3/4 Carot that i have.My Wife and I Were Going to make a Nice Ring Years Ago and we Never Got around to doing it and Decided to Just Buy one, So Now I'm Stuck with these loose diamonds and Rubys and Sapphires we bought, I Hope someone can use them and do something with them like i Didn't, My Loss is your Gain on this one, Any questions Just Ask, Just a Note That I Cannot Find the Cert. on this Stone, I am looking for it and when i find it i will put that up too, Look at my other auctions on the loose stones and you will see that i have a Cert for all of them I Just Misplaced this one, It figures this is probably one of the nicest stones that i have with no cert., Anyway what i do have is it is a Blood Red Marquise Cut Ruby From Madagascar and is 9x4.5 mm. I believe i Remember this is either a 1 Carot or 3/4 Carot ( Whatever That Means ), They were appraised at $21.40 a Stone Years ago, I don't know what there Worth Now, Like i said I deal in Sports Cards and Know nothing about Precious Stones, The Picture of the Cert has all the info , I know Nothing More About These. So Good Luck and Thanks alot for Bidding, Jim

If you're using your scanner, something might not be aligned properly... there's no reason an image from a scanner shouldn't be in focus. They're made for scanning documents, which need to be legible.

My Scanner is State of the Art, If You look at my other auctions you will see the cards i Sell are Scanned Great, Like the Other Person Said its not Made for 3-D Objects, I was Just doing the Best i Could with what i had to work with, Thanks, Jim.

right there is the reason it's not focused. It's meant for PAPER not 3D objects. So thus being it couldn't focus because it's not a piece of paper. =) common sense I think.

Didn't mean to cause offense... it is completely possible to scan 3d objects and have them in focus, though, I've done it before. http://www.jerrycourvoisier.com/tips/2009/07/capturing-3d-objects-using-a-flatbed-scanner/

I'm amazed that anyone would buy anything (with points or money) without being able to see it clearly.

Guess I'll leave you alone now, just wanted to give you that link incase it helped in the future. Too bad, really. I'm a silversmithing student, always looking for stones for a good price, but I'm very particular about the cut of a stone so I need clear pictures.

No Problem, no Offense Taken, These Stones Really dont mean anything to me . Thats why i'm giving them away for free, I'm a Sports Cards Dealer and do not know anything at all about precious stones or jewelry, I Just Buy it from the store to keep the wife Happy every now and then, Thanks for the info though, Best Wishes and God Bless, Jim.
