The American Arts and Crafts Chime celebrates the Arts and Crafts movement that flourished around the turn of the 20th century, both in the United States and in England. The Arts and Crafts movement was a response to the Industrial Revolution and was, therefore, embodied in everyday objects. It was incorporated into the design of homes, furniture and pottery and placed a heavy emphasis on simplicity, quality, function in harmony with nature. We have created this chime in keeping with these things and have tuned it using a “Golden Ratio.” This ratio, discovered by the Greeks, can be found throughout nature and in Arts and Crafts style architecture.
