GARMIN GPS V with mount. This unit may need additional hardware! Looking for serial cable too. Powers on and works. No longer supported by GARMIN! Maybe suitable for parts or experimenting. Best of luck!

Planning on more pictures. Unit takes AA batteries and I just found some suitable for testing. Still looking for cable. Rest assured that I will send that too, once found.

The unit works. It is an older unit and as stated in the descrption may only be suitable for experiments! I had mounted it to my bike for a bit of local travel. Also used it for geocashing. BUT map isn't the best and Garmin won't be of any help. Prior to bidding I would do some research and reading!

If you don't want this unit please let me know! I could substitute a Magellan Roadmate 360. That unit is also no longer supported. Also no batteries for use out of the vehicle. Also takes an SD card which will be included. SD card has Magellan map for the roadmate 360. I will also include the car adapter with the roadmate.

So, if I win teh auction, I have the choice of either the V listed or a Roadmate 360?

Wouldn't it make more sense to list the 360 in a seperate auction since the description for this one clearly specifies the support situation with Garmin?

Anyone whos has considered bidding is or should be fully aware if they can be bothered to read the description.

That's not exactly what I tried for. I pointed out both units have about the same problems. I was offering the other unit because I currently am unable to provide the cable for GARMIN. I apologize if you don't read before bidding or bother read other comments. These are older units, I can and have used both units. I can mount the GARMIN on my bike but have lost the mount for the Magellan. So I guess it comes down to what issues you want to deal with. Or save yourself and don't bid!

I completely understand.
I do know that others will bid without reading, then want to retract the bid because they "didn't know" the particulars.
You have spelled out that the units are not supported by the manufacturer, and that the cable for the V is, at this point, not located and will not be shipped with the unit.
You were clear, and I commend you for the clarity. I just didn't understand the offering of the Roadmate 360.

Can not update auction at this time. It was a four pin female circle that ended with a db9 connection. If that helps?
