The listing, 240 Carats of Ruby, Emerald & Sapphire Beads ~ TIERED ~ 1ct semi-precious added up to 750ct TOTAL! has ended.

Hello and welcome to my auction. I decided to do something new with this auction. As stated in the title you will receive 240 carats of ruby, emerald and sapphire beads no matter what happens.

So here is how this is going to work. I will add 1 carat of semi-precious (Maybe precious) beads for every new fan or watch until we reach a TOTAL CARAT WEIGHT of 750.
As of posting this auction I have 689 fans.

Photos show the precious gems oz. wt, this was converted to carats. Carat weight totals are based on the table listed here: http://www.metric-conversions.org/weight/ounces-to-carats-table.htm

Now for a list of what you will win no matter what happens.

10mm Emeralds 10 beads 70.87 ct .5 oz
8mm Emeralds 12 beads 42.52 ct .3 oz
8mm Ruby 10 beads 42.52 ct .3 oz
8mm Ruby 12 beads 42.52 ct .3 oz
6mm Sapphire 20 beads 42.52 ct .3 oz

Total: 64 Beads 240.95 Carats 1.7 oz 48.19 grams

I have provided photos of the ruby, emerald and sapphire beads close up under strong light (pic 5-7) to show there are impurities in them. Under the strong light they appear much lighter than they actually are. The inclusions are small and hard to see on the beads under normal lighting. These were sold as natural mined stones and I believe them to be so. Glass or fake beads would not show the color variations or the inclusions. Other photos show the beads all together under normal house light.

Semi-Precious Beads that may be added:
Picture Jasper, Topaz, Yellow Jade, Green Jade, Peridot (dr, green), Sodalite, Rose Quarts, Gr. Aventurine, and Faceted Sri Lanka Moonstone (unsure about these. no flaws under light but were sold as natural gems.)

How can you tell it's the precious stones, rather than a dyed variety of quartz or agate?

That is a good question. I wrote the dealer and received a reply stating that they get their beads from a reputable supplier and that they were exactly what they were stated to be.
I am not a jeweler and have no way to tell. I had never considered a dyed natural stone. As stated I looked at them under strong light and saw some inclusions so I took that and the reply from the seller to mean that they were true precious stones.
