The listing, Persimmon Seeds has ended.
These are 15 fresh seeds from last fall's crop of Organic "Hachiya" Persimmons, grown and harvested in the central valley of California. They have been kept in dormancy in my refrig.
They will be sent in a zip Lock, with moist toweling around them, in a bubble wrap envelope.
Experienced growers will understand the following instructions:
Stratification at a low temperature for a period of 20 to 40 days or fall planting of un-stratified seed has been reported effective in breaking dormancy and forcing germination. Since I've had them in my refrigerator since November, they are already stratified, and will sprout with warm spring weather. I plant mine in 1 gallon, and transplant as roots grow, to as large as 15 gallon, until planting in the ground. These are large, plump, heavy seeds.
Shipping costs is $ 2.00 via PayPal, or a bubble wrap envelope with four (4) 44 cent stamps attached. No exceptions.
