Shawnee USA planter pot, marked Shawnee USA 456.

Mint-green planter features a quilted pattern. The pot is without chips or cracks, but it is missing the green glaze around parts of the rim as a result of manufacturing issue and not from wear. Additionally, there are pinholes and other small imperfections, as is often found in these Shawnee planters.

Planter stands 4-7/8" high and is 5-5/8" in diameter.

NOTE: with box and packing, planter weighs about 2 lbs 15 oz, so factor in shipping - Parcel will be about $9.30 to West Coast, around $6 in Midwest.

Yes, I'm getting a kick out of Listia, although I'm not sure how it will all work (as in will I end up giving stuff away. Seems like an interesting take on the 'let the market value your merchandise' principal. -- Re: Shawnee pottery - they were an American pottery business (based in Ohio) that ran from 1937 though 1961 and have a lot of collectors. The company made a lot of items for mid century discount stores like Woolworth's.
