The listing, US Naval Reserve Honorble Discharge Lapel Button has ended.
US Naval Reserve Lapel Button
I recieved this in a lot of buttons from an estate sale, my knowledge of the button is very slim so I will try to explain as best I can. I believe it may be from WWII? but I'm not sure.
This button seems to be older than most of the lapel buttons available on ebay. It's very worn in appearance.
It is round and about the size of a US dime coin.
The color is pretty worn, but the outer ring of the button is white.
The top edge of the button reads "U.S Naval Reserve".
The bottom edge reads "Honorable Discharge".
In the middle of the button stands an eagle perched on an anchor with ships on either side behind the wings.
The metal color is quite dark now, a very very dark brown.
It's made of metal although I'm not sure what kind.
I, myself, have no use for this button. I find it to be very neat but feel guilty keeping it stored away. Hopefully it can find a nice home where it can be enjoyed and the owner will have a bit more knowledge on it.
Thanks for looking and happy bidding! Any questions, feel free to ask, and I will try to answer as best I can.
