How about Apple butter! I knew a family that made it and I got to watch..... it was do good. I still love it. I lived in Washington VA, was a little town has grown some. But skyland drive was not far so we got lots of fall tourist to come and see the leaves turn it was beautiful!! we had 4 generations at one time living in my parents home there. I miss it very much just like I miss my parents. Well yes stop the ship and let someone walk thee plank ... ha!! Don't worry billie I do not talk pirate either lol....

I forgot apple butter. I love it too!! I love big family get togethers but now family is scattered all over the USA!! I do have my sister coming in from Ohio & my niece & hubby coming in from south central Florida for thanksgiving tho & I cannot wait!! One of my daughter's lives in the TN valley...it's so pretty down there....I do love the mountains...from the top of the Appalachian all the way to the bottom! It's been snowing leaves here all morning in Massachusetts!

I do miss the fall days. We'd go get apples, make applesauce to can, make an apple crisp & apple pie.. drink cider.. wonderful fragrant odor in the air. Bautiful colors on the trees. But ya can't get everything you want in life. We bowed out of cold weather to come here & I love it, but we don't have fall. Everything comes with a price to pay. Can't have it all. But I enjoy the short cold spell we will get in mid winter and it is beach days into Nov and & start again in March... walking the waters edge in my heart that is my church. I talk to God and my Chelles and I never leave without an answer from 1 of them. Usually it is a sea shell that will wash over my feet. Then I know they heard me & it is all good from that point & on!!

We did good, we haven't any damage but lots of limbs down. Lost power from 8pm to 4:45am. Layed in bed listening to things hit the house & roof. Wind was so loud we couldn't even hear each other when we went out on back porch. But we are blessed! Not even any flooding. How are you & the family hon? Hope all is well. Need to get my hubby out of the house for a while today. The never ending dr visits. Hope you have a great day!!

When I lost my child, I lost all fear of death. I will go no matter where I am at the time God knows when I can join my child in paradise. Anyway, we have many tourists that were in beach condos trying to get out on the 1 main rd here. They need to evacuate before we do. If we were going to, we would have already left. He is moving fast across the warm gulf waters so he continues to strengthen & will make landfall as a cat 2. 11ft storm surge tho which is BAD!! When ya see Jim Cantore in town, you KNOW it is bad & he is right down at the end of the rd! That alone is scary!!! There is a verse in the book of Luke & I do not remember chapter but it does say in the end of days the earth will see many changes. When the moon covers the sun and makes the day dark (eclipse) if I locate that verse, I will share it but honey, it reminds of of today right now!!

Lord Susan we have Nate coming right at us!! Evacuations going on down at the condos.. beaches closing, parking closed. We are getting email updates every 15 minutes from the city. We are well stocked & supplied!! This morning we were in tropical storm watch. Now it is hurricane Warnings! We are gonna get it this time honey!! Will try to check in over the weekend. Only thing I worry about are all the trees around us. If 1 falls on our house, Phil wants to head back to Tn!!! He isn't a happy man right now but his pot roast sure smells good hon!! :)
