26 is the waist measurement only. Each clothing company - especially in jeans has a different fit, so you can't always go on the size number chart. You have no idea how they will fit until they are actually tried on. I'm a fit model in LA and this is the case with clothing unfortunately. If they don't work out I'm sure they could be relisted with the same pics.

They are on the smaller side. All I can guarantee is the waist is 26. Please see the other comments as far as fit. If they do not fit they can always be relisted.
