The listing, Collectible Bill: 2006 District L $1 Star Note has ended.

District L, Run 2

Up for bid is a collectible US Star Note! Star Notes are identified by the 'star' at the end of the serial number and are "error replacement" notes." Approximately 1/2 of 1% of bills printed each year are Star Notes making them VERY collectible!

When collecting Star Notes you try to get one from each run in a given series (year). This Star Note is a Series 2006 $1 bill from district L, run 2. For this series there were 18 runs printed:

District B (New York): 4 runs
District D (Cleveland): 1 run
District F (Atlanta): 3 runs
District G (Chicago): 3 runs
District J (Kansas City): 2 runs
District K (Dallas): 1 run
District L (San Francisco): 4 runs

I collect currency & coins and have a group of other collectors that I trade with. Several of them don't collect Star Notes and I buy the ones that they get... I have also bought bulk lots a number of times...
