Description

The listing, C_TV Software has ended.

This is a software program that I wrote myself (100% free of any virus or malware) so that I can view tv channels online. There are 72 channels (websites) available, more than most basic cable or satellite providers offer you. Yes, when you select your 'channel' and click the button, it takes you to the online website where they have online episodes of previously aired programming. It is a great program that allows you to 'see tv' on your schedule. Right now, only available in the US, sorry :(

What language is this written in? What operating system(s) are supported? Does this open a browser window to load a website or does the program incorporate a built-in viewer that displays only the audio/video feed?

It was written in Delphi. It works under windows, but I have also tested it with Wine in Linux and it works flawlessly. It opens the website in your default browser. Next version I am thinking of incorporating a built-in browser window, but am debating on the screen size for the video playback.

OK... cool. Thanks. I'll be watching this...

BTW - when you reply to a comment, if you'll click "Reply" under the comment before typing your response, the person you are replying to will get an email letting them know that you answered. Just a little piece of trivia :-)

Good Luck...

some videos are HD, depending upon the website and the hardware in your computer. I can tell you this, that I have watched many shows using this in HD and I output the video to my HDTV. Looks wonderful. Just today I watched a few shows and the quality was excellent!

as long as the tv channels still have websites. It is the programming at the websites that you are watching. Channels like ABC, FOX, and others offer videos of shows that have previously aired and this is just a means of getting to those channels (websites) and to the programming that they offer.
