Description

The listing, PCGS Graded MS69 1991-D USO Commemorative Silver Dollar has ended.

EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE I GET REQUESTS FOR CERTAIN ITEMS, AND INSTEAD OF JUST LISTING SOMETHING FOR A CERTAIN PERSON, I WILL BE LISTING AUCTIONS THAT GIVE EVERYONE A CHANCE AT IT BY ALSO ALLOWING IT TO BE BID OUT FROM THE 499 CREDIT AMOUNT.

This auction is for the 1991-D USO Commemorative Silver Dollar.
This coin has been graded by PCGS at MS69 and only had a mintage of 124,958 coins total. With such a small mintage amount, all of the higher grade coins are extra special and a lot tougher to come across.
This coin is the 50th Anniversary Commemorative of the "UNITED STATES ORGANIZATIONS" founded in 1941 to supply social, recreational, welfare and spiritual facilities to armed service personnel. Everyone has heard of the U.S.O. but now you actually know what it stands for and what it was founded for.

Thank you for your interest in my auction and stopping by to view it.

Now for the "All Auction Information" :
The scans and /or pictures above are of the actual item that you will receive, and are provided for you to determine the condition and/or grade of it.

I do not see anything that looks like tarnish, front or back. on the obverse there is a scratch on the slab over the "U" in "USO".
on the reverse, there was something on the slab that wiped right off that was running north & south directly over and center of the coin.
is that what you are seeing? I would add pictures, but that is too late now.

the harder I look at the pictures above, I think I see something in the pic of the reverse under the eagles head... it is not on the coin when in hand though.
any thing else I can not find or see.

I know the feeling, my eyes are questionable these days for sure. I usually try to supply both scans and pictures of the coins when there is something on them that would effect the condition/grade... but when they are graded, i usually do not bother. also, depending on the TPGS, the slab is airtight-welded shut so the graded will not change.but I have seen many a coin pickup on its toning after a year or 2.

Graded coins are the ones i am looking for,i think it helps from getting fakes, unless they are dimes or such, not much of a profit to make fakes of them

because of the "china express" of counterfeit coins, many an expensive and original coin sits in a box somewhere never to be seen again for no one believes that it could be real just because it was picked up at some yard sale for pennies on the dollar. even I have a coin sitting and waiting for me to actually spend the time and money to verify what it really is.
graded coins are 99.9% of the time going to be the "real mc coy" and a good investment.
