Never opened and factory sealed.They have about a 600ft range and are crystal clear. you can use these with any home phone service and they will not interfere or pick up interference from wifi 2.4ghz frequency spectrum. Absolutely. they were just marketed with t-mobiles at home service but they are just really nice home phones. the second handset is attached to the main base (wirelessly) unit so it is not two separate phones. Thanks
