It's a pretty plant and I hear it's a relaxing tea as well. I'm going to try making tea out of my lavender plants this year.

how fast do these bad boys grow? And does one of the zone include indiana?

Yep, vera lavender's hardiness zones includes Indiana. As for how fast they grow, I don't know how long from germination to bloom, but it depends on how much sun the plant gets. Sometimes lavender plants do not bloom the first season and you may have to wait until the second spring to see blooms. But if conditions are good, lots of sunlight, you could have blooms the first year, especially if you wintersow the seeds early in the year.
