Most people send funds via PayPal. You can sign up for an account at www.paypal.com Others prefer to send money orders. Personally I prefer PayPal but will also take a USPS Money Order (that way I can take the money order to the post office, cash it and put postage on the package at the same time.

Most people just send the funds through PayPal to the account of the person listing the auction. You don't need to send an invoice or anything. When I see the funds in my PayPal account I head for the post office ASAP and mail the package out.
