Yeah, a lot of people are selling these saying they will work on Wii (which they used to), and ours is the white one, but I tried putting it in my brother's who got the new black "upgraded" one, and after trying to pry the side open (which is how the white Wii works) and reading all fine print in the documentation, I discovered they took out the feature so the old games won't work and you have to buy new ones.

That is just not right of them! If they were smart they would make them all compatiable with the older games!

Thanks for the info, brom4880. My nephew's got the white Wii, so he's just started collecting old gamecube discs for it.
