FREE: Baby Boy Outfit 0-3

I don't know about you, but it didn't take me very long after my first baby was born, to decide that a onsie was a MUST!

For Baby #1, I was given an abundance of little suits w/ ties, collared shirts w/ suspenders, name brand jeans w/ levi jackets....even a leather coat & boots!

That 1st Sunday I chose one of the ensembles in which he would make his debut. I can't deny that it was fun to hear all the comments about how handsome our "little man" looked...but I couldn't stand to do it again after that first public appearance. Why? You ask...

Well, let's just say those clothes weren't made with baby's COMFORT or protection in mind! They are made for Mama's PRIDE. It soon became apparent that they bothered him, as his fussy demeanor changed...as soon as his clothes were.

And what did I see as I undressed him? Red, irritated skin around his belly & sides. No, not from the clothes, themselves...but from the HANDS of those who held him, as his shirt crept up during the passing to and fro! Poor little baby belly!

From that moment on, I decided I would never take my newborn babies ANYWHERE...without a onsie on, at least under their clothing. In Cali, 2 layers just aren't wise...so I quickly began replacing his cutsie clothes with comfy onsies...even as I was still composing thank you cards for the ones that I now knew I would never dress him in. Sorry, givers. :) Unfortunately, there weren't many CUTE onsie options back then.

My advice to all you gift-givers:. Give SENSIBLE clothing, that keeps baby happy & comfortable...and his little body PROTECTED from irritants that surround him. The babies will love you & parents will appreciate you!
