I have grown them for years and I do know of some people that put them in chilli and such. Too hot for me.
I am giving you old peppers, the seeds are in them, crack them open and put in dirt.

Bright indirect sunlight or morning sun. Keep moist but not soggy. Normal to cool room temperatures are best. Trim off all old leaves for better growth. Enjoy.
