I know Rescued dogs just seem to know that you saved them :-)

We've got a new addition here a black lab/pit mix that we found on our front porch January 30, 2012. We had him a month and finally found out his "owners" lived within I don't know about 1,000 feet from our house basically within eyesight of my house. But they hadn't been looking for him and when the Uncle who "owned" the puppy came over he was like well you've had him for a month you can keep him. I was like REALLY?

Just shakes my head, I got him neutered and I'm half tempted to keep him but I'm also looking for a new home for him though :-)

Awe, maybe he was meant to be yours? We have 2.. and I really would love a 3rd, but hubby says no. Blah.. lol He is right.. because I would want a 4th after I got my 3rd haha. I love my babies!! I have a Rottie and a Shitzu, and we are blessed with them. We lost our Golden Retriever last Dec. to cancer. He was also a rescue from the shelter. We have been really lucky! Some people like your neighbor just dont deserve pets! Good thing he came to your porch!

I had 6 doxies at once a few years ago & I had adopted all of them from ppl who no longer wanted them. one was a little boy whose teeth were so bad, you had to hold your nose when he was in the car or room with you. The first thing I had to do was neuter him & pulled nearly all his teeth. I don't think he had ever been to a vet before. After he got over the infection in his mouth, he was one of the sweetest dogs ever.
