The listing, Vintage marbles!!!! has ended.

This auction is for 14 vintage marbles. I don't know much about marbles and haven't played marbles for about 50 years now. I used to be pretty good at it, lol. These marbles are old but I don't know how old. I do know that I have had these or at least most of these for over 18 years and I found them in an old jar with a rusted on lid. 2 of these with multi colored specks have pits in them. These pits appear to be made into them rather than chipped from playing with. I have a few more that I will also throw in with these. These will be some that I dug up in my yard when we first moved here 12 years ago.

Memory Lane, here I commmmmme!!! LOL, my older brother and I used to play marbles, 'for keeps', with marbles similar to these and some just like them! (I'd cry when my brother tried to keep my marbles bc I never had very many, and I loved them for how pretty they were). Lol, my brother probably doesn't remember that. I do have his marbles now, and will soon be sending them back to him, bc I asked and he does want them to 'remember the good old days.' It would be nice to win these bc I never had any sparkley ones. LOL, I know bout those older brothers (in my case it was an uncle 3 years older than me). I played pretty good but he was much better. He would seem to win (for keeps) all my prettiest ones too. This lot contains some cats eye, aggies and some unidentified ones. I will also be including some solid green extras and maybe more if I can find them. I hope you win so you can have your own sparkleys to admire. Also, very sweet of you to give brother his back.

Thanks dear. Oh, to go back for just one day, playing in the dirt with my marbles, the only worry in the world , losing some of mine to my uncle, ****may have been a hard life then, working in cotton fields from daylight til dark all week long, but I'd trade those days for today in a heartbeat. The oldest marble in my collection is from 1910, I also have a designer shooter from some big shot artist that my appraiser swears is worth a lot... (always take what they say with a grain of salt). I love games and I love collecting, so I really like marbles ^.^

1910 huh, almost as old as I am, lol. Seriously, I have seen some marbles go for hundreds on ebay. I know nothing about them value wise myself but there are some that are worth a lot to some people. I just think they're pretty and used to love to play the game.

Those sure are pretty...my childhood game was Jacks! I remember sitting at the bottom of the stairs (we lived in a cape) while waiting for dinner to be ready and played and played.......jacks anyone???? *sigh*

Loved to play jacks too. Ohhhh, Country roads, take me home!!!! Wow, and a big old jump roap with two kids throwing it and the rest of us jumping. Hide and seek at dusk, I spy on rainy days inside, who needs expensive techy stuff, those were the good old days, at least for kids, lol.
