This DVD was tested yesterday by moi and my bf and we laughed our a***s off, this stuff would never be allowed in movies made today, no way! Once this film gets started, all logic is lost in a blizzard of gags, jokes, quips, puns, howlers, growlers and outrageous assaults upon good taste or any taste at all. No doubt! Not only that, but it really hits home as a parody of societies prejudices. Mel Brooks is a freakin comedic genius and so were the writers. I think Richard Pryor was one of them if I'm not mistaken. Hilarious performances and a funny spoof on westerns as well.

I want to make a DVD auction pre-release announcement here while I have my soapbox.......Yesterday I acquired a collection of DVD's at a yardsale/pitchout. The people were moving out and held a sale for a couple days which was winding down to the end. I made a deal on a box of DVD's (and CD's) that I just knew were going to be loved by some of you Listians! My bf and I are going to be screening these films to make sure they are in good condition, plus it's fun for us! We already screened a couple yesterday and looks like we've got a full day ahead of us today.....it's a labor of love tho. So for those who want to get their mits on some cool movies via Listia then please stay tuned to my profile so you will know what DVD's are up for auction.
