The listing, Vintage Miniature Blue Willow Blue Plate Special Divided Plate has ended.
Have you ever heard of the "Blue Plate Special" in old diners? This little plate is an example (in miniature) of where that name came from! These divided luncheon plates were used in diners to serve up their dnner specials, they then became known generically as Blue Plate Specials. This old beauty measures just 4-1/4" across. and has the iconic Blue Willow design on it. It was made in Japan, probably in the 1950s or so, and is very heavy for such a little thing. Great condiiton!
