Description

The listing, 23kt PURE Gold Card and MUCH MUCH More! has ended.

This collection is made up of Record Breaking moments in Mark McGwires career starting with his record breaking home runs in his rookie year. In this collection, there is a 23kt PURE GOLD Mark McGwire card in original package with Certificate of Authenticity shown on the back (Pic 2), 4 baseball cards from 1988 and 1990, A giant 8"x10" 98' Donruss Studio Card (pic 3/4), and a December 1998 Issue of Beckett Baseball Card Monthly with a Mark Mcgwire on the front cover and his rival Sammy Sosa on the back cover. This was the year they went head to head to break the Home Run Record with Sammy hitting 62 and Mark hitting 70. The gold card listed here is a commemorative card celebrating Makrs 62nd home run on September 8 1998 breaking the previous record.

The back of the package the gold card is in had a piece of tape. That is why it looks like it does. No worries, the card and package are still in excellent shape and weren't damaged

This one was made by Fleer. As far as I know, the only other company to make anything like it was the Danbury Mint. Thanks for looking.

I had the same card. It is gold plated and only worth about $3.5 in gold weight. I had it looked at because I thought about melting it till I found out it really had no value.

Either you had a similar card but not the exact same, or the person who looked at it didn't know what they were talking about. Everything I have found on this card shows it to be solid gold and worth more than $3.50. Even on ebay it's going for more than that. The certificate of authenticity says pure gold. Not plated. Besides, how do you gold plate something that is as thin as a layer of gold plating?

I guess I'm going to have to get a better scan of the C.O.A. so everyone can see that it reads "pure gold"
