SYNOPSIS: It is 1971, and journalist Raoul Duke barrels toward Las Vegas—accompanied by a trunkful of contraband and his slightly unhinged Samoan attorney, Dr. Gonzo—to cover a motorcycle race. What should be a cut-and-dried journalistic assignment quickly descends into a feverish psychedelic odyssey. Director Terry Gilliam and an all-star cast headlined by Johnny Depp and Benicio Del Toro show no mercy in bringing Hunter S. Thompson’s excoriating dissection of the American way of life to the screen, creating a film both hilarious and savage.

Must be 18 to bid on this R Rated DVD.... Condition: This 2 disc set is in good condition and has been tested by moi and my bf who was an admittedly (albeit Ex-dabbler) 70's LSD experimenter....well this explains a few things Honey....
Pretty bizzare, demented, yet mesmerizing film on a whole. The DVD case contains 2 Discs and a quite thorough booklet but does not have the original cellophane it was wrapped in which had the red title on it....how stupid was that?

Hunter Stockton Thompson is one of my favorite authors of all time, and he is my favorite journalist. I mean, who else can say the literally created their own style of writing? I was studying to be a journalist until I couldn't ignore my disease anymore; partly because of Thompson. I would love to have this edition of the movie but I have a feeling I don't have enough credits :/
