Description

The listing, Nintendo DS Lite has ended.

This auction includes:

DS Lite system

**No stylus, no charger, no warranty**

PLEASE NOTE: When playing, the game likes to shut off. I don't know if this is due to playing it with a low battery, or a mechanical issue. It might take 5 minutes or an hour afterplaying before it shuts off. The game turns right back on but you lose what you were doing if it wasn't saved.

No other mechanical issues, it holds a charge, turns on and off , volume works, plays games, no scratches.

Yeah, all that hard work and then it shuts off....very frustrating. I didn't have the battery fully charged, so I don't know what's wrong with it. I just bought my son a new one. My loss is your gain. Good luck!

Is there a way that you can turn it on and take a picture showing that both screens work?

Welcome to Listia and good luck - bidding and watching.

Sure! As long as I can add another photo, I'll take another picture of the screens shortly. They both work and cosmetically it is in excellent condition. The only problem is that once it is playing for 5-15 minutes or so it will all of a sudden shut off. You can turn it back on, but then you have to start from the beginning or where you last saved the game.

The Nintedo DS lite's had a problem with that issue. Have t o send it into the company to replace the circuit board I believe.

Thanks for the info! I didn't buy the extra 1/2 year warranty for this ds. After having this problem, I since bought two more and both have a warranty. Hopefully someone here knows how to fix it or will send it out.

Did it do this if you played while it was on the charger?

Yes, it even did it while it was on the charger but the play time lasted longer. It semed to shut off within 5 minutes of playing with not being on charger. On the charger it probably played for 15 minutes or so. I wouldn't recommend this for a first time player or a child who wants to play for a while.

No prob. Yes, even fully charged they do it. Has something to do with the circuit board being stabilized in the correct place. I think Nintendo charges about $80. to fix it. That's just what I've heard... maybe you can find someone to fix it for less?? After all it's free!

@ChristineAB Thanks, I do my own repairs (way, way cheaper) but I've never had one with this issue. At least the screens work, so I could definitely use the parts!

Nintendo actually fixed my nieces for free and her mom X sister n law threw it. My daughters was dropped and they actually replaced it completely with a brand new one and it was only $40
