Yes this Axe is black solid metal - believe all stainless hard to tell with black paint - handle with stainless steel blade (8 1/2" L x 8 1/4" W) with a stainless punch on heel of axe - which is actually threaded - removable - Really nice craftsminship - blade a bit scratched but none the Less A really COOL GOTHIC ANCHIENT Looking piece. It's overall length is 21" comes with black wooden stand/base for displaying your PIECE!! Happy Bidding B
