This auction is for 1- 220CT RAW MAN-MADE Emerald, used to cut into rounds for faceting.

MEASURES: 2-3/4" long by 2-3/4" in circumference, just under the glazed "cap."

When held to light, you can see a brilliant green. In photo #1 I held it up to a sm. flashlight. And as you can see, it is perfect, no flaws, fissures or cracks. It is solid and it is beautiful! In the last photo, I am told that is "jewelers webbing" to protect the cut edge of the stone

Was as a gift many years ago and later had it appraised. I knew it was a MAN-MADE emerald, I had just never seen one in the raw before. Neither had the appraiser, but that is where I learned it was 220CT's & $100 a CT to have it cut into what ever they could get out of it. Needless to say, I didn't have $2200 to have it cut up, much less the mounting, So, it sat in my jewelry box for over 20yrs.

Out of curiosity I looked it up on the computer and there it was, Same color and description. So, at .49 cents a CT, that comes to $197.80 at wholesale value and my GIN is WELL below that, almost 1/2! This 1 stone could make an good jeweler several stunning pieces and a tidy profit!
