Description

The listing, Gorgeous Gold Seed Bead Necklace - Wear it or Tear It - FREE US Shipping has ended.

This lovely old necklace can be worn twisted or not. It's had a new clasp put on it so you can wear it, or take it apart for the TONS of beads on this beauty! In perfect condition and the glass beads are gorgeous for crafters!

I bought this last year from a fellow Listian (natahoa) and have never worn it. I hate for it to simply sit on my hanger and not be enjoyed or used so here's your opportunity to own a beautiful piece of jewelry.

Free US Shipping

Winner, please send your address through Listia after the auction so I can ship your item. Thank you.

I only ship on Tuesdays and Fridays.

LOL Thought this would look familiar. Glad I found your old pictures.
Thank you for having that package. I've actually accomplished a few things by not thinking about those, lol. I finally dismantled a vintage chandelier I've been meaning to.

Did the chandelier have crystal drops? I love those things ... you can make stellar jewelry with those, or just hang them in a window as a prism. At the auctions I used to go to, boxes of those chandelier crystals were always popular! They are expensive to buy new too.

Yep, crystal. I've got it about half off of the findings and I left half. How did you know I was going to get your advice? I want to list the pieces here. They're really neat.

You might want to try what I do, ship only one day a week, that way if you have anyone who wins more than one item you can ship them together, saves a lot. I ship about 35 packages a week, but generally close to 90 items, I think. It also helps to list similar items ending within a few days, so people interested in one thing might bid on or buy another one or two items. Shipping has gotten SO expensive.

I've been thinking about that. I end my auctions on Mondays but not everyone gets their info to me right away. I think I'm going to start shipping on Thursdays. I have to cut trips into town and my shipping, too, you're right.

Combining shipping is the only way I can afford to keep doing this. I also ask all my winners to let me know if they plan to GIN another item in the next day or so, so I can wait to ship. Otherwise they will have to wait until the following week for me to ship. I try to keep it as simple as possible and once I explain why I'm waiting to ship (to save money on free shipping) they usually are okay with it. I also state in all my listings that I ship on Tuesdays, but if someone wins a bunch of stuff during the week I will ship on Friday if they want me to. My post office is closed on Saturdays so after Friday, I just wait until Tuesday.

I'll have to decide what day and change my listings, but I do need to do something different. I want to add more listings but I have to make it feasible.

I had some on Listia almost two years ago, I think. They were popular for a while but then not so much, a couple of bidders who loved them but both either ran out of credits or enthusiasm for them. You might want to list them in a variety of categories, beads, jewelry, home decor. Try to take some good photos showing them hanging in the sun, made into earrings or a necklace pendant, or anything else you can think of. I think they can be a great item but you gotta help people figure out how to use them! When you take the photos, try putting a light behind, to the side, etc. to get some impressive bling in the photos, and then bleed out any color with your photo software (desaturate). Or, if they are AB crystals, you can even increase the saturation to make the rainbow effect prettier. The software can be a big help with colorless items like that, that can otherwise look not too exciting.

I remember yours. I'll send you the pics of mine and see what you think. The small pieces might make earrings but the big ones won't. And they're AB I'm pretty sure. Even if I can get some gone that'll be good. The chandelier came from our Denver house so it's from 1979.

They would also make very cool Xmas tree ornaments. Maybe if they don't do well for you when you list them, save 'em for the holidays. It's one of those things that, if a few people take a shine to them (so to speak) they can go through the roof, but you don't want to give them away too cheap and pay for shipping. They'll get heavy if you send more than a few.

I think the big pieces will make good light catchers and ornaments.

Can't wait to see the photos when you list them! Be sure to leave a comment on one of my auctions to alert me, and maybe bring a few other bidders in.

fanned, bidding & watching. I have a couple necklaces similar to this one that I got years ago and still enjoy wearing them. Hope to add this to my collection!

This necklace is beautiful, but I just don't wear it. The lovely lady below is who I won it from. It's a really awesome piece and should be shown off. Thanks so much and good luck.
