Pier 21 was the disembarking point for Canadians going to the mother country to fight in both World Wars.

During WWII, they came from all over the British Empire to fight for King (George VI) and country. Australians, kukri wielding Gurkhas, bearded Sikhs from India, New Zealanders, Canadians, British, kilt wearing Scotsmen, South Africans, plus French, Dutch and everyone else who lay crushed under the Nazi jackboots that fought under the British.
