The listing, MAGNETIC ROCK FOUND IN THE DESERT 4.15 GRAMS! EXACT SHIPPING WEIGHT UNDER 1 OUNCE. has ended.

You get this magnetic rock seen in the photos that weighs 4.15 grams..
it will stick to a magnet! this rock was found on top of the ground & it didn't look like any of the surrounding rocks in the area! was found in the area of baker, ca. in the desert out of town... the outside of the rock looks cooked like it sat in the sun for a long time & there are some tiny rust spots you can see in the photos like rusting iron. also you can see a few tiny crystal specks that shine or sparkle when you move the rock!! you win it & you decide what it is????
shipping weight is under 1 ounce & under 3/4" thick..
thank you..
no returns.....

It looks and sounds like the mineral magnetite. Yes it does stick to magnets, but magnetite has very little financial value.

Have sold these to meteorite collectors in the past & got many positive feed backs from them on other auction sites... i guess testing with a allergy test kit for nickel would be in order, because iron meteorites contain nickel, if it were one...

I agree with the magnetite. The sparkles are most likely mica. I find these all the time metal detecting and prospecting.
