Why thank you, I actually have almost 1000 vintage pictures from when the park opened through the 70's, and will list more cd's filled with the other pictures if this one does well. Good luck bidding.

I think you will be shocked by some of the changes Disneyland has made over time. I also have video of the parades from the early 70's and 80's I might offer as well.

Well good luck to you, I am surprised there is not more interest yet, as this is like a time capsule into the past at a great location.

I would live there as well, I have an annual pass so that I can spend 10-12 days every 6 months down there. I just wish it were closer. I think people like you and me who are from washington appreciate it more then the locals down there who can go whenever they want to.

Where did you get these photos? Are they family photos? Who is the photographer? Who holds copyright and publication rights to these photos? Where and how can the winner get permission to use these photos? I know people grab images off the web all the time, but often it is an abridgement of copyright law. I would be concerned about using these photos on a website and being "encouraged" to cease and decist by the Disneycorp. They have been known to tell daycare centers that the use of there images infridged on their copyrights and the centers were required to paint over them. As a professional photographer, I know what an asspain it is to get permissions. Can you help me out here by addressing my concerns?

Sure thing, I went to an estate sale where a man had passed, and he was a world traveler and took many pictures and slides and so forth from throughout the country and I won his collection of pictures that he took that were on slides, cd's and his computer as well. I have not had a chance to have the slides or the printed pictures scanned yet, but I do have the ones from his collection he had on his cd's and computer as those did not need time to convert. His family was selling the items outright and I won them all. I thought that I should not be the only one to have all of these pictures and thought that sharing them would be wonderful as they capture a time and place that are amazing. I listed one set of them here to see if anyone was interested in them, I also have sets of africa, australia and parts of the USA, during the 50's thru the 70's. I hope that I have answered your questions, and if you have more please let me know. I myself am not a photographer, but I enjoy older pictures and buy them at estate auctions when I see them, and think that others would like them as well.

So, it soulds like, if you have a bill of sale or receipt, proof of purchase, whatever, then they are yours to do with as you want. Perhaps you might consider copyrighting the one's you really like and think that you will use. For $45 you can send a batch to the US Copyright Office in D.C. I would be very interested in using these to incorporate in my greeting card line, if I won (I have used old family photos from my mother's side, taken in the '30's and '40's).... and I would gladly bid high, very high (as Disneyland and I appeared on the scene in the same year, 1955), but I would have to know that I had the rights to reproduce. Is there any way you could provide such a document for my files? I know I am being obnoxious, but too often I miss a good shot because I don't have any model releases in my car..... I am a little skiddish about being sued. Paranoid or cautious? You decide.

I really have never dealt with such things as I do not use/sell pictures but share them. So this is all new to me, I am not sure if I kept the bill of sale but in any event the sale slips are not very particular as they only list by lot # and the lot #'s correlate to large boxes or bins of items that are for sale with a general discription, like "box of slides" or "box of computer parts" or "lot of old books" etc.. so I am not sure about anything you are asking for. If you are worried about such things I would recommend you not bidding, as I would rather have someone be completely sure about what they are buying. I wish I could be of more help, all I can say is this is what I have and this was where I got it from. If you have more questions I would be happy to answer them, and if you want I can answer them by e-mail if that would be easier. I just want to share some old pictures, with people who might like them.
