Got a question? As a seller, How do I prevent nagging buyers from Alaska, Hawaii and US Protectorates stop asking me for free shipping to them? eBay told me since I am in NC I am not obliged to offer free shipping to those places. Listia is vague on that. But it is too expensive to ship to those places for free.
Would appreciate ur help. And pls fan back and check out my auctions too :)

you simply tell them NO SHIPPING...in your listing as you have done ( i looked at your auctions you have some nice items)
on ebay when you create your ad you can add on the shipping area the area exclusions NOT to ship to, i have never had a problem on ebay
as for listia I have been giving away free items on here for awhile (almost 1 yr)
and have shipped to hawaii and alaska with nothing but major problems!!! because I cant verify with delivery confirmation for proof that the person actually got the item I have gotten scammed and got negative feedback
so from now on if I cant get delivery confirmation then I simply will not ship it...
your customers can also verify from the usps website about the increase in prices...

thx, for ur help. I am an eBay seller too, that is why I know how expensive (and tracking problems) it is to ship to Alaska, Hawaii and US Protectorates. Some people say "Oh, u can use flat rate boxes". Well, for perfumes, nail-polish, mascaras etc (make-up that contains alcohol) u r not allowed to (USPS law), only ground ship allowed. That is why eBay does not pressure sellers to ship to those "Over the ocean places" for flat/free ship. Listia is vague on that. I know by postal law as a seller we should not be obliged to sell for free/flat ship to those places as they do NOT fall under our "shipping zone". I got nasty comments/arguments from some people living in those places. So I had to discuss this issue with someone who probably has had a similar experience.
