I just used mine last night and it smells good and you just rub it all over your face and leave on to let the moistureizers work then wash off after ten minutes or sooner if you want. I like it.

I'm not sure, it says mask, and the directions say leave on for 10 minutes then wash off. I have never used it so I don't know if it hardens or not. hope this helps :)
