Questions & Comments
Hi debsgallery. Just some info to help you out a bit - first, don't ever post the ESN number in the pictures(hackers can use the number and clone it to another phone which would render your phone useless). Second, the ESN is the Electronic Serial Number (ever one is asking if it is CLEAN - meaning not blacklisted by Verizon for unpaid bills etc and it is good to go to use for Verizon service). Third, people are asking if it is unlocked (meaning Carrier Unlocked - ie: can it be used on other carriers?) - if you did not specifically request the unlock code from Verizon then most likely it is not. Hope this helps with the questions you have been getting. Great Auction -- fanned and watching this one myself. :) Happy New Year!
Give her a break!!! All of us are not computer savvy!!! You have concerns? Don't bid!! She is not rude; just telling the truth... Good luck to you debsgallery!!! Listia is getting like Jerry Springer!!! My Lord!!!!
awjenn11070 provided a very nice and polite wealth of knowledge, and he can't even get a simple thank you? If I was listing an item.. especially a valuable item, you can believe I would know the important things about the item. And if I didn't already know, I would surely find out when asked. It doesn't take much effort. "I don't know" is not acceptable in this world of internet and immediate information. It's at your fingertips.. look it up on your new phone. Just saying.
She can call up her carrier to find out more information if this is not truly unlocked or clean or cant be used by the winner on their network it be very disappointing 28 or 68 if you can list things here on listia you can make a phone call to your carrier or even the phones manufacturer too and get more information. Its not being rude but it is being a bit lazy and for those bidding your not gonna like it if you get this and it wont work for you im just saying. But hey to each their own. I hope it works out for the winner. I myself wont bid on this when It seems not sure or certain of its condition and if it would work on my network. Good luck to you all bidding and hopefully the winner can get great use out of this phone.
What wjenn said .. don't show people the ESN just conform it is clean unlocked etc. Phone carrier will block or blacklist phones too that the contract wasn't finished out or the phone wasn't paid off in full. Trust me been through it. Being clear we all need to know for sure it is Clean unlocked and what networks it will work on. You can contact the company you got the phone through and ask them. As well you also should make sure the phone is reset to factory settings so none of your personal phone numbers pictures etc are still in it or any passwords A phone with a password to access it if not known by new owner will itself make the phone useless.
I be more inclined to bid if It could be confirmed it is unlocked and has clean esn and worked on my network. If You call the company it was last serviced with or even took it into a cell store and ask them and see if they write down on a piece of paper they confirmed it was clean and unlocked and what carriers it can be serviced with. Those bidding on it and whoever wins are going to be upset if they get it and it can not even be used. I am just saying you have a potential return claim on your hands if you do not make sure of these things.
Also, if you write your Listia username on a piece of paper, and take a picture of it and item you're auctioning together you confirm to ALL bidders that your auction is real.
it can either be called an ESN or an IMEI this information can usually be found by removing the back of the phones cover and the battery and it be located under the battery location.
another way to get the information may be by going to the phones settings and phone info you could take a screen shot of that or a picture of it clearly of course if can and post that up in the pictures update section here on this listing,.
