Description
The listing, OLD ( NOT SURE!) has ended.
Honestly I know these are old but I dont know anything else about them. They are numbered and very pretty. they have a great amount of detail. BRAND is EMPIRE and they are hand made in ITALY an made on wooden plaques I have to charge shipping on this one sorry but shipping kills me on larger items. I will offer free shipping if these go above 10,000.
Questions & Comments
you do not mention the condition of either piece or the measurements please give that imfo intested thanks
Both are in excellent condition. I have kept them wrapped up and put away for the last 15 years. The exact measurements are 12 1/2 inches long and 4 3/4 inches wide There are a few scuff marks on each because they are very old however I did post the pictures showing the marks. Thanks! GOOD LUCK
Really? Whats the story on them>? I would love to know. I have had them forever and Kept them in my old antique trunk. they never went with much I had but I couldnt bring my self to get rid of them til now. I need a coach lol
these are going to cost way over $7 to ship so that is why I asked for the shipping to be partially paid. I am not sure if they are hand painted they kinda look like the frame could be but again Im not sure. they hang on the wall but I am sure you could prop them up. they do not stand alone. thanks
honestly i know what you do. you can view the image larger if you like. i know they are very old, numbered and were very expensive for my grandma. she told me to wrap them up and take good care of them because she thought they would be worth a lot. I wanted to list them on listia in hopes that someone would love them as much as she did. they have been packed away and i will never use them. (they do not go anywhere in my decor) i know on here someone will probably cherish them as much as she did. I didnt want to sell them because my grandma gave stuff away (she wouldnt want it to be for money). she would have wanted me to list them so that someone would enjoy them and apreciate them. I know if anyone looks at them here its because they know what they are (i do not) or they will love them like she did. that is all i can hope for.
I got mine at an antique store a few years back. My whole house is done in Victorian and one of the rooms I call my hat room the colors were perfect in. They are all of ladies and gentlemen form that era. I have 5 of them and these would look great with them.
Mine says made in Italy on the back with a number. Looks like it was stamped on. No sticker on any of them. It looks like the pictures are print. The wood design is in the wood maybe stamped in. The white and gold is painted on then the whole thing has like a clear finish. They are unique and pretty.
Go to this site. I found one it is a Italian Florentine Gold Tole Plaque. It is not expensive so must be your Grandmother just loved it as I do mine. Its cool to know there's more out there. Thanks so much for the listing.
Its close but looks like those are newer and the tag is not the same I didnt see a number on those like on the ones I have. They look a lot alike for sure though
these may have no monetary value at all (I really couldn't tell you). What I know is that I want them to go to someone that will love them and not stuff them away as I have. I found these the night I listed them and I listed them for my grandma. I know she would be disappointed in me for never doing anything with them but leaving them in my antique trunk. She was so proud of them. I can remember her telling me how valuable they were but I don't think she was talking about money. I personally believe that they came with a wonderful memory for her and all I can do is list them here and hope they will do the same for who ever wins them. I would never sell them for money. That is why I put a shipping fee on them too. I know the serious people on here (in the antiques) look at the stuff that isnt free shipping too. I could care less about the credits on this one.... or I would have offered free shipping.
They are much bigger than they look in the photos too. I was looking at the pics and was a little surprised how small they look. I figured they were not expensive I just loved how much they meant to her. She was so insistant that I wrap them up a certain way and not use them til I was older because I wasnt but like18 when she gave them to me. I wish I would have asked her then but when we are young we think they will always be there to tell us you know.
