The listing, PLEASE READ...Free Shipping!!! has ended.
THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION...THIS IS A REQUEST FROM A FELLOW LISTIAN WHO LIVES IN CANADA!!!!
PLEASE READ!!!!
I am in Canada and I find it very frustrating to see all of these AWESOME auctions listed and cannot bid on them. Yes, Im whining!!! LOL
Give it some thought and hopefully you will change your listing policies...even if shipping to Canada has a small fee, I think it would be beneficial to you and your auctions!!!!
FYI - there is only additional paperwork if the item being shipped isnt paper. And even that paperwork takes 2 minutes to fill out...
Questions & Comments
I TOTALLY AGREE!!! I live in Canada and have over 15 000 credits that I can't use because other people won't ship free to me! I have actually started to block some users who refuse to ship to Canada, which may seem harsh, but why should they have the benefits of bidding on my fun stuff if they won't return the favour?
I have been emailing alot of people in the USA who have auctions listed that I am interested in. Most of them are willing to change their shipping options. For those who wont, yes, I have been blocking them too!!! A big THANK YOU to the US Listians who have replied to my emails and are now willing to ship to Canada!!! For those who will, you have been fanned and I will be watching your auction!!! Thank you!!!
I will start shipping to Canada...if anyone from there bids on my stuff and wins...lol. I like how you did that...I'd click "like" if there was a button too.
I clicked on it you got my attention LOL , i have never been asked to ship to canada but didn't realize someone might not ask because i didn't click yes to ship to canada , will change my listing ... Thanks for the wake up call
I'm a seasoned ebayer as well as trader. I wish I could ship to Canada, and very sorry I cannot ship to Canada anymore. I have tried investigating many different shipping services that would economically ship with tracking to Canada. But, its difficult to realistically ship with tracking on an economic budget. Sure, I can ship without tracking, but its a risk that I will not accept. I've had people in the past on many different sites state not receiving items without tracking, which ends up as a loss for me. Additionally, despite many harsh feelings towards U.S. lisitia members, it seems that the costs of shipping outside of the U.S. is going up and up every year. I'm also finding it harder and harder to ship for free within the U.S. So, I just thought I would add a perspective to reality. I'm sure alot of listia members would love to ship outside the U.S. especially Canada, but its difficult to afford the expense. However, out of respect I understand your frustration....Good luck.
I am sorry that you didnt see this sooner so that more people could read your comment and fan you. I have sent Listia an email asking them to change their "list auction" page. Please do the same!!! Thank you. Oh ya...I have fanned you!!! Thanks!
canada is the same price and i have always shipped free to canada. please fan me so that you have me on your list of what to look for. in your browsing.
Thanks! As long as everyone remembers to include Canada when they post, my fingers will get a break from sending out hundreds of messages!!! I am at the point where if people wont ship to Canada, I am blocking them. Like gottahavetall said, additional shipping is pennies between our neighbouring countries.
All I know for sure right now is my fingers are tired for all the typing!!! HAHAHA
Well, I have found that sometimes the difference in postage to ship to Canava vs the US, is pennies. If I could only ship "internationally" to Canada, I'd be happy and contented. But, somehow I don't think of Canada as "internationally". I have shipped worldwide and I have dealt ith many very nice people (except in Sri Lanka or India - don't like to get bids from there). I think everyone should ship international, but especially to Canada. So, to you fellow listians in Canada, I'd love to ship to you, although I can't always ship for free.
Listia classes Canada as international. When you list your auction, you can select to ONLY ship international to Canada. Please keep it in mind when you post future auctions. I for one, dont mind even paying a small shipping fee (but free is always better). Just nice to have to option to bid if it is something that we want!!!
If you want and I still have credits, I will out bid person on here and you won't have to worry about giving credits back..as I might be done on here anyways..just let me know. I will try to check tomorrow
I did block him...but funny once there is an auction between 2 people..there is always contact!! I will tell you in a personal message and if people want to ask you and you tell them that way also that is fine with me. You are a sweet person! Wish all Listians were like you!
OH..and he stated that I hounded him everyday for item..well I WAS talking to him often because he has mentioned posting more auctions..so I did ask about those..and then it showed it was delivered the 5th so I asked about that..didn't get it until the 11th! And it was a toy car..he just threw it into an envelope!..you can imagine what that looked like when it got here.
OH NO...this wasn't directed at this auction...I just wanted to let people know that I care about on here that I think Listia is being really unfair with some things...I gave a neutral feedback to someone I should have given negative..but won't get into that..anyways..he gave VERY rude negative..calling me a donkeys butt with you know what that means..but Listia labeled that as a "nice message from seller." The guy told people I lied that I had gotten item 4 days sooner then I said I did..even though I have the confirmation that shows I was correct..but of course everyone else can't see that..Listia won't take away the negative feedback and nasty remark so I am just not sure I can continue on here..even though the guy has MANY negative feedbacks..it seems they took his side..:(You are awesome and hope more and more people will ship to Canada as you are awesome! :)
Oh man...that SUCKS!!! Im sorry he was such a dick!!! Not all Canadians are like that...look at me...Im a total sweetheart!!! hahaha Chin up, sweetie...better days are ahead!!! For anyone reading this...PLEASE FAN JACKIE315 and watch her amazing auctions!!! Who knows, maybe a nice email requesting shipping to Canada might get you some where with her!!!!
SO Listia is ok with people leaving unfair feedback AND calling us names..just because they use it in different text doesn't mean it is ok...I am getting really tired of Listia..and sorry to say the few I call friends on here..I just don't think I can continue dealing with things on here that Listia just keeps letting it happen over and over again..just makes it not fun anymore..don't really think much of this site right now. :( NOT a happy Listian!
Huh??? What am I missing??? Jackie, you are a great Listian...buyer AND seller!!! You and I have our own little agreement...this isnt directed at you!!! There are MANY others who absolutely refuse to ship to Canada.
You make a great point and to be honest I hadn't even really thought about it, my apologies. I did a quick price check on the difference in price to ship say, to Bar Harbor, ME vs. Woodstock, ONT and it was pretty nominal. I only have 2 listings right now and one has bids but the one that didn't I changed to include Canada! :o) I'll do that from now on. :o) Thanx for the heads up!
Alot of US sellers are starting to include Canada...YAY!!! Even if there is a small fee for shipping, it's still cheaper than having to go out and actually buy the item listed!!!
I kinda wish that your comments had like buttons :( I agree that it's not fair to not ship free to canada because it's RIGHT there. It's not like they are shipping it to the moon and back. Right now my only auction is not shipped at all but that is only because I don't have the money to ship it for free. :( One day though I'll be able to :D. Good luck to all of you that live in Canada.
It's not that we necessarily want it for "free"...but the option to bid on it would be nice!!! For me personally, I have paid for shipping simply because I want the item that is listed. Even posting auctions with a small shipping fee is a win!!! I will fan you and watch your auctions!!!
