Description

The listing, Your Drug May Be Your Problem: How and Why to Stop Taking Psychiatric Medications has ended.

I can give this copy of this book away only because I have two copies. I have been treated for bipolar disorder, chronic depression, and adult attention deficit since 1990.The psychiatrists never went over the often life-threatening side effects nor did they ever mention I could suffer permanent damage even after I was off the drugs, which all these years later still doesn't seem
likely,

While new reports on deaths associated with atypical anti-psychotics like Effexor, Remeron, Respirdal, and Wellbutrin (or Zyban) and others continue to be reported, and at the same time medical researchers are reporting clinical trials that show that even drugs like the grand-daddy of them all--Prozac may actually be doing nothing to treat the symptoms of psychiatric patients and are probably not worth taking the risks associated with them, doctors continue to over-prescribe them without making sure that the patients has all the facts.

And this book isn't limited to the dangers and horrendous withdrawals of just atypical anti=psychotics. It also reports some chilling information on the harm done by stimulant drugs like Adderal, so popular with non-ADD high school and college kids, Lithium, Benzodiazepine tranquilizers like Xanax, Valium, and Ativan, mood stabilizers like lithium and Depakote and others.

Book does not break it to you gently. I had to read itwith one eye closed like when I watch horror films. But it is an important book because it can help people tak charge of their treatment and be informed enough to make good decisions.

If you are tired of being overweight (caused by many of these drugs, confused, foggy, havingmood swings, not having a sex drive or being able to perform, etc., the book goes into great detail about how to wean yourself off of them without the tortures of the damned that usually come with withdrawal from these drugs.

Paperback in good condition with some minor yellow highlighting.
