Description

The listing, ***GO GREEN with SOAPNUTS*** Special GIN Offer has ended.

Are you tired of worrying about the chemicals that are in your laundry detergent? Well here's the all natural economical answer to your dilemma. SOAPNUTS!!!

"Soap nuts contain saponin, a natural detergent which is used to clean clothes. They are not only safe for washing silks, woolens and other delicate fabrics but can tackle your toughest loads too. Soapnuts are antimicrobial and are beneficial for septic systems and grey water. "

There is no need for fabric softener as the saponin also softens your clothes and leaves them smelling clean and fresh.

Just add 5-7 soapnuts (depending on size. Larger nuts use 5) to a small cotton/muslin bag and place in your washer. Best used with warm - hot water. Do NOT over load your washing machine, good agitation is needed to activate the soapnuts/saponin.

If you have hard water, I suggest adding a liquid water softener like calgon and if you would like to whiten your clothes, a liquid bleach of some sort, ie; oxyclean, chlorox2 or regular chlorine bleach.

If you prefer your clothes to have a fragrance, you can add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to a wet washcloth in your dryer to make them smell purty! *smile*

*Caution-Please Read*

As with a chemical cleanser, soap nuts (in all forms) should be kept out of reach of children and pets. Soap nuts are NOT consumable and are harmful if eaten.

***INCLUDED IN AUCTION***

5-7 Pre-Packaged Bags of Soapnuts (enough for 21-28 loads of laundry)
1 cotton muslin bag
Instructions for use

**Special GIN Offer**

If you use the GIN option, I will double the amount of soapnuts, which gives you double the amount of loads of laundry.

Please feel free to ask any questions. I will answer as quickly and accurately as I can.

Thanks for looking, happy bidding and God bless

Hi Pam, Fanned ya back ;o) Welcome to listia. It's a pretty fun place. A GIN is a "get it now" option. It allows you to purchase the item right away.

I know you will love the soapnuts if you win. The nicest part is that they take out a lot of the residues that are left in your clothes from using regular detergent. It takes a couple of washings but they are so much better for your fabrics as well as eliminating all those nasty chemicals we seem to be pouring into our bodies left and right. Thanks for stopping by and bidding. Good luck and God bless

i use soap nuts too. a bag of 5-6 is good for at least 3 loads of washing in my experience (but i don't wash on hot, just lukewarm). you can see the bubbles when you squeeze the soap nuts, so you'll know when they are worn out - then just compost them. great auction.

Aren't they the greatest thing since sliced bread?!!! *grin*. I use pretty hot water unless I have something that might shrink, then I use warm. Although have washed a few loads in cold using the "tea" method. I get 5-7 loads from about 6 large berries. I wait until they're mushy looking and then put in fresh. I absolutely love them. I have a son in law with allergies to most of the detergents and now that we use these, no more problems! Thanks for stopping by and commenting. God bless Fanned ya back too. ;o)

soapnuts are the bomb!! I put 5 or 6 in a cloth bag, sew it closed and send along on camp outs...no wasting liquid and alot less mess for washing up...even for the kids to wash their hands with.

Okay, I might be a bit slow here, but are these real nuts? I mean, do they grow on a plant? Interesting things. fanned ya!!!!

Real good question Mudturtle and you are NOT slow. It's the name that is confusing. They DO grow on a tree but they are actually called a berry. heheh However I caution everyone NOT to eat them, they are toxic. You treat them as any household cleaning agent. Thanks for asking. God bless

I love the fact that they are natural, do they work well at cleaning your clothes?

Another really good question!! YES, they do! Yaaaahooo! heheh When you first use them, they suds up more than later because what they are doing is removing all the detergent and stuff left in your clothes These are amazing. You never need fabric softener, even if you hang outside! Your clothes have a fresh clean smell. If you want them to have a particular fragrance, you just add about 5 drops of your favorite essential oil to a washcloth in your dryer with your clothes and voila, you smell purty! *grin* Thanks for asking. God bless
