The listing, Upcycled Crocheted Rag Rug has ended.
This gorgeous upcycled crocheted rag rug is themed in blue and is a large masterpiece measuring at 42" by 42". It is the perfect addition for a small room, cold floors, etc.
So this is a square form. Which means in crochet that increasing is done at keep points - in the corners. The stitch I used for the rug was a single chain stitch (?). The trick is to cut the fabric into long strips and there are multiple ways you can tie the loose ends together. You could knot them but then you'd have hard spots and those are uncomfortable. You can also cut slits into each end and loop them needing no string, etc. But I prefer to hand stitch together the ends so that it's a smoother look. I don't follow crochet patterns because I am self taught. I have never crocheted with yarn, only upcycled fabric. Youtube is a great place to start, and use the key word rag rug. There are other methods other than crocheting such as an amish knotting or braiding them together. It's a different look however.
