The listing, Miss Mousey Teapot- decorative use - read description has ended.

I painted a "Miss Mousey Teapot" decades ago for my mother. A few years ago, I got hold of the same unpainted bisque, and I just had to recreate her! Unfortunately, the ceramic body had some problems that affected her finish on the outside: she has crazing (fine cracks) in the glaze on her dress, and "bald spots" in several places where the glaze didn't stick. I did the best I could in correcting and photographing the irregularities, and I think the problems aren't too obvious. She's still beautiful, but I can't recommend her to actually hold hot liquid. Still, I think she can bring a little charm to your tea room!

She's unique and charming anyway. I think she'd be a great place to store bean seeds! Put them in her & pour out how many u need for planting! One could do the same with beads, jelly beans, etc. If you put her way up high among other knick knacks, she might even become a "safe" for valuables, or a coin keeper for a nest egg or rainy day.

She will go well with my cat creamer. I love teapots, creamers, and sugar sets. I have a china cabinet full of them.

No need to be sorry, it's all part of the game. ^_^ And I can empathize with your daughter - I've been to Tokyo twice and I adore it! :D

Well, sorry as an sorry you didn't win but, yes, that's the game. My daughter dreams of going to Japan, I actually lived on the island of Okinawa for two years back in the 80s.

Okinawa seems very culturally unique in Japan, having been its own country once, IIRC. My dad traveled a lot on business and he loved Hokkaido. I'd like to see both those regions. I've really only been to Honshu near/in Tokyo.

Dimensions?

I should have remembered to measure her before I packed her up... sorry. I think she's about 9" tall with her head/lid, and about that length from front to tail. Hope this helps.
