My father was navy.... Aviation Electronics Chief in Air Warfare.... I believe we have one left with an anchor.....

Dad had time on the E.... also the Nimitz, America and George Washington. That is the ship I did my tiger cruise on... I miss it :-(

I had 2 tours on her. 71-74 and again in 76-77. A lot of people spent many a day on her and soon it will be the last.

I miss the norfolk pier awaiting the soldiers to come off the boat. I can't believe that jet crash today. I grew up just a couple miles from those apartments.... Thank god they dumped the fuel load before they hit!!!
