Description
The listing, Vintage Wiss Pinking Shears for Sewing or Textiles Crafts has ended.
These are the old-fashioned heavy duty kind of scissors, and they’re not just ordinary scissors; they’re pinking shears. They make a jagged line wherever you want, instead of a straight cut. Pretty neat. I think it’s so the fabric won’t fray or unravel but I’m not a seamstress.
OH MY! I asked about paper because cutting paper with shears destroys shears for fabric. It dulls them. Had they been used for paper, I would not want them. I sew, so I am very careful about my shears. You are right shears retard raveling of seam edges. I saw the fabric cut with them. Did you just do that? Do you know if they have been used much on paper? If for just fabric, that would be fine.
I don’t think so since I have only had them a short time and whoever had them before probably knew what you do. I only made the one cut to demonstrate. Promise.
