Yes, it can be put on a chain. I had it on one of mine. If you really look at the pictures...you can see in all the pics (except the 1st one)...the hollow part where the chain can be put through. . This is a small piece - you can see that next to the quarter, so you just need a chain that fits. I will try to get a pic of it on one of mine before the bid ends.
