The listing, UNUSUAL Pencil Cactus cutting. has ended.

UNUSUAL Pencil Cactus cutting.
One cutting of about 1" long, the size of a small round pencil.
Bid over 2000 credits and will send an extra.
This plant is a very unique plant, Euphorbia tirucalli, with pencil-shaped stems and very small deciduous leaves. Stems contain a milky sap which you do not want to get on your skin. This is a Succulent plant that can grow up to 15 feet in the most ideal conditions. Grows best in full sun with little to moderate water. Hardy to 25F (4C) for short periods of time. Makes a unique container plant. The picture is of several mature plants, not what you will receive.
Take the one cutting and put it in a very porous soil to root. Seal with a see-through bag and let it root and grow. Be patient as it does take a little time. Use the best potting soil available if you can. The soil must drain easily. It can be grown outside in warm climates. It makes a very unusual houseplant which does grow
small leaves.
If you have a green thumb, you can do this easily. Otherwise it may take some work.
Really fun to grow!!

So, you think a ziplock with a paper towel is too moist for rooting? I have a tiny green house I could put tiny grade gravel in, would that work better? Do I want much moisture in bag/container, or just a few drops?

It always works best if you can leave the cutting in a place that will not disturb the
piece.
I sometimes use a see through plastic bowl or glass or jar and put a plastic baggy
over the top.
Once i put a little water in to moist the soil, I put tape around the bottom of the baggy to seal it. I would put too much water in or you could get a soggy start and it could mold. You will see moisture on the baggy or plastic top and that is normal.
