LOL we're talking about the original sims (which yes - I started playing in the 90s) but tis not compatible with windows 7 which is what I'm running - but it is compatible with my xp machine - well with some tweaking LOL - but seriously I owned ALL of the expansion packs, hot date, making magic etc.. Then I did sims 2 and all those.... and Now i'm doing sims 3 - but we're talking almost 20 years ago LOL and I've since lost my original copy of the original sims :)
But the sims original game was geared towards 95/98, sims 2 towards XP - sims 3 vista and the later expansions 7 LOL - hey have you played with windows 8 yet? Its uh different LOL - if you want to go to microsoft and look it up - the beta which isn't bad is downloadable for free
LOL didn't say windows 8 was better - just interesting... The first thing is the start button as you know it is - gone! LOL not just missing - but entirely gone LOL - its more app driven like an Ipad etc... and the start "Screen" is full screen - and if you're not using a touch screen can take some getting used to - keep in mind its a beta ---OH the big thing is - it doesn't require big system specs to install and run. They're going to have multiple versions - for like tablets etc... so cross hardware compatibility.... its different - but after about a month and ha lf I just did a reinstall to windows 7 LOL
