It has an old Mexico sterling mark which is a silhouetted eagle with a 16 inside. It does not say sterling or 925.

Estate Vintage Sterling...But it's not stamped on the pin correct ?

It is stamped with the Mexico silver hallmark of a silhouetted eagle with a 16 inside which is a known Mexico silver mark from before 1950.
It is not marked 925 anywhere on the pin.
