Description

The listing, Live Beautiful Fresh Water Aquarium Plants!!! has ended.

Auction is for 2 trimmings from my Fresh Water Aquarium Plants shipped in damp materials. Each trimming will be approx 3 inches tall & if planted correctly in a deep soil bed will root & spread & grow quickly. I have been passing this plant along for years to friends, family, & local pet shops I get lots and lots of compliments. Not sure what the name of this plant is but underneath it has purple color to it at times even more than the photograph. Fresh water fish love to hide in these, especially small schooling fish like tetras. AUCTION BID BONUS: If bids go above my lucky number 888 on this I will also include one additional 3 inch trimming from another fresh water aquarium plant that looks similar to a fern leaf, see photo #4. IF YOU USE GIN I WILL SEND YOU A MIXED VARIETY OF THESE 2 KINDS, 5 TRIMMINGS IN ALL & I WILL MAKE THEM AN INCH TALLER. Thanks!!!!

I currently grow 2 kinds, these 2 do really really well for me & fill up my tank sooo often that i just dont have room for anymore right now. You see the main photo is one plant, the other is the plant i offered for the GIN bonus, it looks more like a fern leaf

Any way you could find out what the names of the plants are? Would like to see if they'd be safe to grow for our turtles :)

No sorry i would really have no way of finding out considering ive grown these for years and years, but I can tell you that when i purchased them new & halfway dead years ago they came from a petshop...this petshop in turn started buying them from me prior to my move because mine are a lot healthier, most aquarium plants purchased at pet stores are safe and non toxic for turtles. However, i have never had a turtle so i can't give you any personal advice. These plants have been put in tanks of many different fish species over the years including bigger and little fish & have never had toxic effects.

Thank you! Was just looking at pictures of different aquatic plants and my guess was either Red Ludwiga or Moneywort :)

I havent looked up a moneywort-- but the pics of the red ludwiga look about right-- these leaves are purplish/red underneath.
