You can buy universal Power Plugs at walmart. You just check to see what the device needs (usually written by the hole the plug goes in to) and set the power adapter to that voltage, then choose the correct size tip and viola. These usually run 10-20 dollars. Hope this helps! I won't be bidding on this ( no interest in a scanner right now (= ), but I thought that info might help your auction. Feel free to repost this in an update =)

The best information that I could find on the internet was that a change from analog to digital could affect a two-way radio device, such as a CB(citizens band) radio.I could not find solid information stating whether a scanner would be affected.Being that a scanner such as this one actually scans from 0 to 512 frequencies and should not be affected. If you look through my discription you will notice that there are government frequencies,(police, ambulance, fire rescue,etc.).The scanner constantly scans through and will stop on a frequency that is is being transmitted on by whatever government agency is transmitting. Whether it be police, medical,or fire response, they will have their own frequency to transmit. The scanner will scan through each frequency until that frequency is located. To shorten this story,a scanner is a long name for scan to find a transmission frequency.

I thought we are in the digital age.I don't know enough to know how this is going to effect the radio. The internet might give some information on this.Sorry for no info on this.
