The listing, 1943 Philadelphia mint Steel penny has ended.
Up for grabs is a 1943 steel penny from the Philadelphia mint.
in 1943 pennies were made from steel in order to save copper for the war effort.
These pennies are a nice piece of history.
The images are from google as I do not have a camera.
Please don't leave me messages saying that I will get better bids if I have photos of the actual coin, or ask me to photo/scan them, as I am not getting a camera any time soon and the messages are getting annoying. Plus I am usually only able to get on the computer for 5 minutes in the morning before work, and then maybe an hour in the evening before bed, and am not going to spend that time scanning and packaging these.
I have about 17 of these left, and I will choose which coin I send based upon the number of credits at the end of the auction. The higher the credits, the better the quality of the coin. (If it is under 700, I am sending out the ones on the lower grade scale, and if it is over 1000, I will send my highest grade ones.) If GIN is used, I will send the best one left in my collection (GIN has to be 2000 credits or more. I tried for 1200. So if GIN is used, I will throw in 2 pennies from the 20's or 30's depending on what is in my jar.).
I work M-F 9am-5:30pm, as well as 8 hours per week at another job on the weekends, and can usually only go to the post on Saturdays, so plan on your package taking a week to a week and a half to get to you.
If you don't like any of this, please don't bid.
